The real "secret" to your success?

Published: Wed, 06/29/11

The "real" secret to your success has
very little to do with buying the latest
piece of software or do-hicky that
promises to put your business on
steroids and build it while you're
sleeping.

The reality is that there are no "magic"
riches - in this industry or any other.
Building a business requires a strong
work ethic, persistence and a bit of
stubbornness...  :)

I don't know a single entrepreneur who
accumulated wealth without working
their butt off - many of my closest
colleagues routinely put in 15 hour days -
they work their hiney off...but they also
recognize they're building their own
retirement plan (yeah, these are things that
no one wants to hear, but it's my job to be
straight up with you).

They know they're building an asset that at some
point they can sell, give it to their children or a
family member or do whatever they want with it.

They also know they have a TON of freedom.  I
could take the next 4-5 months off and still
bring in checks every month literally without
touching my computer.  Without touching savings
or selling anything.

To me, that is a phenomenal feeling.

Knowing that I can provide and take care of my family
even if something happened to me...is a priceless feeling.

There's ONE thing that's allowed me to get to where
I'm at today...well maybe 2 things.

1.  I consider myself to be a hard worker.  Yeah,
I take a break 2-3 times a year for a week or
two at a time, but all in all, I put in quite a bit of
time to study, apply and share.  Doing those 3
things alone can set you apart from the vast
majority of other business builders and
entrepreneurs.

2.  I've spent big bucks over the years on
mentoring.  If there's one thing that can truly
catapult your business to the next level, it's
finding a mentor that you truly "gel" with.

Someone who's been there and done that before.
That's the single, biggest thing that has allowed me
to enter a handful of niche markets over the past
several years and absolutely crush it.

Straight up talk:  I believe that a mentor is also the
key to your success.  Discover new angles, different
ways of doing things, tracking and measuring results -
and above all, having someone else holding you
accountable for your actions...the good and the bad.

Over the past couple years, I've helped countless
entrepreneurs just like you discover new and e
xciting ways to build their business.  Don't take
my word for it though.

If having someone else truly hold you accountable
for your actions makes you a bit nervous or gets the
butterflies flying around, that's a good thing.  It's
healthy and should be taking place.

Warning:  You will be held accountable for the effort
you put forth.  You will discover tried and tested methods

taking place.  You will learn why it's critical that you stop
