I got beat up...[quick story]

Published: Sat, 11/17/12

Have you ever heard the saying "Those that
love you the most, beat you up the most"?

It's true but sometimes you need it because it
allows you to learn and grow, it makes you
think and that's a good thing...

Here's an example...

Yesterday I was having a conversation with
my sister who works for a large corporation,
she was recently promoted to a VP level and
with it came a nice pay increase. I'm truly
excited and happy for her and I know she's
very happy with where she's at too...

But...

During the course of our conversation she said,
"I don't get it, why don't you just get a job,
why do you take such risks and put yourself
through stressful situations".

My immediate response was "I enjoy the
money, the lifestyle, and the challenges
it brings".

It got me thinking...

And it made me realize it's not really even
about the money, of course that helps but
it's a whole LOT more than that...

Entrepreneurship for me is about:

- The people you meet and the life long
relationships they bring

- Relishing the challenge of riding the
ups and downs

- Having freedom to roll out of bed and
decide whether I want to take a day off

- The excitement and joy of helping &
seeing others change their life

- A chance to retire EARLY (my goal is
by the age of 40)

- The freedom of not having a boss (I
don't like it!)

- Having a realistic opportunity to earn
6 figures your first YEAR, without having
to climb the corporate ladder for years to
get there.

- Being  in control of my own destiny (You
can't get fired or "Let GO" for any reason,
that's SECURITY!)

-  The elasticity of TIME (in other words the
ability to earn more while working less) so
your business and systems still generate
cash whether you work or not.

- And the many more things I will be adding
to this list through my trials & tribulations as
I continue on my journey called "LIFE".

It's not that I'm against corporate America,
there are certain people who are extremely
passionate and love what they do, my
sister happens to be one of those people and
I will still love her the same no matter what.

But as entrepreneurs, simply put, we are
WIRED different. I'm ok with that. I told my
sister, "The good news is, you don't have
to understand...there is no right or wrong
way, simply YOUR way and that's it" and
if you're happy with YOUR way that's the
ONLY thing that truly matters.

I'll leave you with this...

If YOUR way is not currently work and you're
